Tapping the Linguistic Landscape as a Pedagogical Resource (PP114), Paper
It is often difficult for teachers to find innovative language learning methods and activities that help to integrate the language classroom with the learners’ wider social and physical environment . The aim of this paper is to explore the concept of the ‘linguistic landscape’ as a pedagogical resource and to offer ways in which EFL teachers might utilise features of this landscape, like signage, to promote the linguistic, critical and reflective competencies of their learners.
