Why Still Weak in Reading? An Empirical Study (PP129), Paper
This empirical research looks into the main reasons behind the low proficiency level of tertiary level students in reading skills in English despite learning the language for more than 10 years. Observation, interview and questionnaire have been used as research tools to collect data. The detailed analysis of the data emphatically shows some serious concerns that need to be effectively addressed. Based on the findings, some solutions are suggested from students’ and teachers’ perspectives.
