Promoting Autonomous Language Learning through Virtual Learning Environments (PP160), Paper
Virtual Learning environments have provided opportunities for teachers to promote learning autonomy in the field of language learning. This presentation shows how different activities and quizzes in Google Classroom (VLE) in a foundation writing course can be used to promote learning autonomy through monitoring students’ interaction and motivation over a semester. The results present students’ actual rate of participation and reveal the extent to which using Google Classroom was successful in increasing students’ level of autonomy.
