Hatem is an assistant professor in linguistics in Dhofar university. His teaching and research interests include EAP, TESOL, applied and theoretical linguistics. He has presented in international conferences and is currently engaged in a number of research projects.
Reflective learning and teaching in higher education: why and how? (PP153), PaperThe presentation reports on findings based on qualitative data collected via diaries in a higher education institution in Oman. The aim is to explore students’ learning experiences in relation to classes, lessons and teaching methods. The implications of the study are intended to show the importance of reflecting in teaching and learning to improve both teaching and learning. This presentation is relevant for university teachers and researchers in general and TESOL teachers in particular.
