Effect of Metacognitive Reading Strategies Instruction on Foundation-level students' performance (PP87), Paper

The quasi-experimental study investigated the effect of metacognitive reading strategies instruction on the reading comprehension of EFL foundation-level students in Waljat College of Applied Sciences in 2017 using pretest-posttest and attitudes questionnaire. The experiment took advantage of 30 contact hours. Learners in the experimental group outperformed their peers in the control group and held positive attitudes towards the experimented strategy. In the light of the findings, implications and recommendations for further studies were put forward.
