Asila is a senior teacher of English language in the Ministry of Education in Oman. She holds a BA in English language from SQU. She has ten years teaching experience in different grade levels. She has taught different English language summer courses in different institutions as well. Her interest is directed towards improving ELT practices using attractive methods and modern technology tools.

Although school-home collaboration is an indispensable part in education, Omani teachers and parents rarely sit and discuss students' progress face to face. This leads to a passive community partnership and learning struggles. Technological applications such as educational electronic platforms can be effective tools in beginning e-partnership between schools and parents with accessible options that accelerate virtual communication and interaction. They are hoped to lower gender disparity in schools.
