Ouarda holds a Ph.D. in Applied linguistics and English Language teaching. She has been teaching English at university level for 11 years. Her areas of interest are teacher quality, motivational strategies, webskills and learning strategies.
The L2 self system to enhance learners' motivation and speaking (PP156), PaperThe aim of this study is to highlight the effectiveness of the L2 self system theory and model in teaching speaking to improve learners' motivation and speaking abilities. A unit of teaching is designed based on the self system model including imaging future L2 self identity (creating the vision), mapping the journey (from dreams to reality) and keeping the vision alive activities. The model comprises 15 activities to be taught in one semester at NCT.
